Happy Wednesday Bulldogs! Here are three webs for you. One will be an orchestra piece that is considered top 100 by musicians, one will be featuring a soloist or chamber ensemble, and one will be just for fun. Enjoy
Happy Wednesday Bulldogs! Here are three webs for you. One will be an orchestra piece that is considered top 100 by musicians, one will be featuring a soloist or chamber ensemble, and one will be just for fun. Enjoy
4.1 Web Wednesday This week the orchestra piece is The Planets by Holst. The movements are Mars the bringer of War, Venus the bringer of peace, Mercury the Winged Messenger, Jupiter the Bringer of Jolity, Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age, Uranus, the Magician, and Neptune the Mystic. I love all of them but Mars and Jupiter are the most popular. The viola solo is by a german composer Hoffmeister. The other 3 are for fun. One with puppets and two because Star Wars just came out! I love John Williams.
4.8 Happy Wednesday Bulldogs! Here are some webs in the same theme as the last couple of weeks. The Adagio for Strings by Barber has just been arranged by Hauser (from 2 cellos) You should watch it once and then some other time just lie down, shut your eyes and listen to it. It will calm you and even might make you tear up. Hauser is playing up so high he is in the octave of the violins. The chamber music piece is the Brahms double concerto. I worked on this when i was getting my Masters Degree and was to perform it with a symphony but timing just didn't work out. The violinist is my all time favorite Anne-Sophie Mutter. The others are for fun!
